Certificates: no NORKA centre in Thrissur
A Russian university needs your Class 10 and Class 12 certificates apostilled. For certificates issued in Kerala, the first step is authentication at a NORKA Roots regional centre, and these are in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kozhikode only. That office is on the 6th floor of a commercial building at the MG Road metro station, Ernakulam 682035 (phone 0484 2371810 and 9188268904; email [email protected]). NORKA's page was last updated in June 2021, so confirm the phone and hours.
NORKA's list of offices also shows a District NORKA Cell in Thrissur, but the NORKA pages name only the three regional centres for educational certificates. Ask the cell by phone before you rely on it. Register on norkaroots.org before you visit; attestation is usually done Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2:30 pm, and payment is by card or UPI, not cash. You can combine the NORKA visit and the Kakkanad visit on one trip to Ernakulam.

The nearest airport, and the route to Russia
There is no airport in Thrissur. The nearest is Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery, roughly 50 to 60 km by road, reached on the same NH 544 corridor that leads to Kochi; Calicut (Karipur) is further. COK has no direct flight to Russia, and no Kerala airport does. Students fly through a Gulf hub (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Doha) to Moscow, a one-stop trip of about 13 to 17 hours, or fly to Delhi and take Aeroflot's nonstop to Moscow, about 6 hours 10 minutes to 6 hours 30 minutes. The medical colleges in Thrissur district
Thrissur has a government medical college and two private ones, and all three close at low rank numbers in the state counselling.

So a Thrissur student with a state rank near 2,300 or better could still get a general seat at home in round 2, and ranks from about 2,800 to 3,700 reached Malankara (Kolenchery, 2,777), Believers (Thiruvalla, 3,127), MES (Perinthalmanna, 3,648) or Sree Gokulam (Venjaramoodu, 3,694) rather than a college in Thrissur. NTA publishes NEET results by state, not by district, so we cannot give a Thrissur-only count. In 2025, 1,21,516 candidates from Kerala appeared and 73,328 qualified, for about 5,400 MBBS seats on the NMC's count, roughly 14 qualified candidates for each seat.
