The university lists General Medicine as taught in English but does not say Russian is absent in later years, and NBEMS has no FMGE rows under its name. Medical universities in Kirov, Russia

Kirov State Medical University is on Karl Marx St. in Kirov (the postal code is 610027; WDOMS gives No. 112 Karl Marx St., while Russian Wikipedia gives Vladimirskaya St. 112, so check the address on your admission letter). The Russian Wikipedia history says it began on 2 April 1987 as the Kirov branch of the Perm State Medical Institute; WDOMS dates the independent institute to 1994. It was an academy from 1999 to 2016. It is a state university under the Russian Ministry of Health, and the World Directory of Medical Schools lists it, though that record is older and shows Russian as the language.

Fee. Order No. 314-OD of 30 May 2025, restated by order No. 380-OD of 2 July 2025 (with indexation for inflation), Annex 1, lists "training with the use of an intermediary language (English)" in General Medicine, 31.05.01, at 350,000 roubles for course one, about ₹4.0 lakh at the Central Bank of Russia rate of 15 October 2026. The same annex lists 2025/26 prices for students already on courses two to six: 290,520, 283,280, 271,630, 256,700 and 231,370 roubles. Those are what current students pay; they are not a locked path for a new student, so do not add them into a six-year total. The Russian-language line for foreigners is 206,000 roubles for course one. We saw no 2026/27 order in the April 2026 snapshot of the site. An agent quotes USD 4,000 a year (about ₹3.8 lakh) and another 360,000 roubles, with hostels at about USD 650 and 80,000 roubles a year; these are unverified. The university's English page says the contract is signed and tuition paid before the invitation is issued, so ask what the refund rule is if the visa is refused.

Language. The university's English site lists General Medicine as taught in English over six years, full-time. We found no statement on Russian in the later years, and for NMC purposes the course needs at least 54 months in English, so ask for the share of hours in each language. See the NMC rules.

FMGE. NBEMS reports for 2020–2025 have no rows we can match to this university, so we cannot give a pass rate or compare it with the Russian average of about 25%. That may mean few Indian graduates have reached the exam. See the FMGE pass rate page for universities with results, and ask Kirov for the names of recent Indian graduates and where they work now.
